Taha Ibrahim Siddiqui is a Predoctoral Research Associate at the Development Data Lab, where he works on data systems, archival records, and spatial evidence for rigorous research on public services in India. His work combines technical data infrastructure with substantive social science questions, bridging the gap between data availability and evidence-driven policy.

Prior to Development Data Lab, Taha worked with 3IE (International Initiative for Impact Evaluation) and R.I.C.E. (Research Institute for Compassionate Economics), where he focused on survey design, geospatial analysis, maternal and child health outcomes, and the operational logistics that make rigorous field research possible. He brings hands-on experience in bringing ambitious research from design through execution, including navigating the practical challenges of data collection in difficult-to-reach settings.

For the fellowship, Taha's expertise in research operations, geospatial analysis, and data systems is critical to producing credible primary and secondary data on district-level socio-economic conditions. His experience working across public-services research and his understanding of how to build usable, reproducible evidence makes him essential to the fellowship's goal of creating not just reports, but a public data portal that serves researchers and policymakers for years to come.
