Almas Ahmad is a political strategist and governance advisor with four years of field experience across Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Punjab. He holds BA and MA degrees in Political Science from Aligarh Muslim University, where he developed expertise in electoral dynamics, political mobilisation, and constituency-level governance.

His research and professional work spans electoral strategy, voter intelligence, grassroots mobilisation, and constituent representation. Almas has conducted election research with the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS) in Delhi and public policy research with the Centre for Studies of Plural Societies in New Delhi. His fieldwork provides deep insight into how political systems operate and how power is distributed across India's socio-religious communities at the ground level.

For the USIPI fellowship, Almas brings empirical understanding of how governance structures, electoral patterns, and political incentives shape economic opportunity and social mobility in minority-concentration districts.
